Integrated Mental Health Day Service - Klacksun

Klacksun logoKlacksun is the Clackmannanshire Service Users Network. The network spans across all statutory mental health services, voluntary organisations and groups in Clackmannanshire.

Role of the Network

The role of the network is to inform and represent people who use mental health services, to highlight issues which concern prople who use mental health services and to respond to requests for comment on mental health issues from a service users' perspective.

Get Involved

There are plenty of opportunities for people to get involved in a way they feel comfortable.

A reference group meets on a monthly basis to discuss issues raised by people who use mental health services in Clackmannanshire and to work out the best ways to raise these issues.

However, other people are also involved in meetings and groups with statutory and voluntary services, developing ways to ensure that information for people who use mental health services is readily accessible.

Others again may be involved individually, or in groups, in highlighting issues of concern. We have a newsletter and are currently developing a website and information booklet, so if you have any computer or admin skills you could get involved in that way. Everyone's contribution can be recognised.

The Liaison and Development Group offers the opportunity for service users and service managers to work in partnership in identifying areas for developments and taking projects forward.

Our User Involvement Worker is employed to support the network and to promote user involvement throughout the Council's Integrated Mental Health Service.
