Integrated Mental Health Service Overview

The Integrated Mental Health Service, initially established in April 2003, is a development in recognition of the ongoing partnership between Clackmannanshire Council and Clackmannanshire Community Health Partnership (CHP). A Service Manager offers a single line management structure to all included services. The Service manager is in turn managed by a Coalition Management Team comprising of the CHP's General Manager and the Head of Social Services. For more information please see our page titled Key Aspects of the Service.

The Integrated Mental Health service consists of:

The Single Referral Pathway

The Single Referral Pathway offers one shared gateway, with direct access to NHS, Local Authority and core voluntary sector provisions. Teams function collectively to offer the most effective package of support and care. The pathway allows us to direct clients to the most appropriate service at the earliest opportunity, reducing waiting times and the likelihood of misdirection. Potential clients are offered information on this shared approach to care prior to assessment; their consent to share relevant information is also sought.

Referrals from primary care are made via the Electronic Referral System.

Early Interventions

In an effort to provide a greater range of services and to protect the principles of social inclusion, independence and self-determination, a new 'tier' of early interventions has been established within Clackmannanshire. These early interventions are designed to support primary care and to offer a first point of referral, where appropriate, before secondary mental health provision is sought.

Early Interventions available:
