Day Care

Day Care can be provided by Social Services for people with disabilities, older people, people with dementia, and to give respite to carers.

Day Care in Social Services Centres is provided primarily to develop client potential for independence and to give, where appropriate, support as necessary. Day Care for older people includes lunch clubs, physiotherapy and personal care services such as bathing.

Clackmannanshire Council Social Services has Day Care Centres whose aim is to provide a service which incorporates rehabilitation, education, or social opportunities to people who have been assessed as requiring the service by a Community Care Assessment Team.

A Day Care Service can also provide Respite or a Short Break for Carers.

To request an assessment for this service, contact your local Community Care Assessment Team.
