Works Not Requiring a Building Warrant
Below is a section of guidance leaflets for the most common types of works that, under the Building (Scotland) Act 2003, do not require a Building Warrant. This list is not exhaustive and further information can be obtained from the Building Standards Team if required.
These leaflets, unless otherwise stated, relate to 1 and 2 storey houses only and do NOT cover houses with a floor level higher than 4.5m above outside ground level or to flats or maisonettes.
