Accessibility
Clackmannanshire Council is committed to making its online resources accessible to all visitors. We continually review our site and modify pages to remove accessibility problems for people with disabilities and to make information more accessible for all users. All of our content is checked for Plain English, and we aim to use a written style which is straightforward and understandable.
In November 2005 ClacksWeb became the first local authority website to achieve Shaw Trust accessibility accreditation. This means that the site meets the highest possible accessibility standards, and has been tested by users with a variety of disabilities and undergone a thorough technical audit.
Access for all
We've provided a number of features to allow you to tailor ClacksWeb to your personal preferences:

- High contrast styles - we provide a number of site colour schemes to improve the site for users with certain visual impariments. Please see the Site Preferences page for information about changing the style of the site;
- Accesskeys - we've implemented accesskeys according to the UK government standard, enabling faster, easier access to certain pages for keyboard users;
- Structure - every page on the site is structured using HTML headings to ensure the best possible experience for all users.
Our approach to web accessibility is summarised in our Web Accessibility Policy.
