Clackmannanshire Licensing Board - Statement of Licensing Policy - Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005

The Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005 is the first reform of the alcohol licensing laws in over 30 years and has transformed the way in which the sale of alcohol is now regulated.

It is described as an Act of the Scottish Parliament to make provision for regulating the sale of alcohol, and for regulating licensed premises and other premises on which alcohol is sold; and for connected purposes.

Section 6 of the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005 requires every licensing board to prepare and publish a statement of its licensing policy every three years. The policy must also be kept under review during the three-year period and revised if necessary.

This Statement fulfils the statutory requirement for Clackmannanshire Licensing Board.

The Board adopted the current statement of licensing policy at its meeting on 18 November 2010. This policy applies for the period from 30 November 2010 to 29 November 2013 and replaces the policy statement for the period 30 November 2007 to 29 November 2010.
