Learning to Succeed in Clackmannanshire
Clackmannanshire Council's concept of learning as set out in the vision statement 'Learning to Succeed in Clackmannanshire' has been updated to take account of the large number of educational initiatives which have been introduced in the last seven years and the rapidly changing global economy. However, the fundamental principles, as laid out in the original document of April 2000, still hold true today.
At the same time, Clackmannanshire Council's vision for education in the 21st century takes account of global and national considerations, as well as local interests and needs. In an age of rapid and constant technological change, the role of education is to ensure that individuals are equipped with the necessary skills for learning, skills for life and skills for work, whilst at the same time demonstrating a readiness to play their part as responsible citizens.
