Free School Meals

All schools in Clackmannanshire provide a lunchtime meal for their pupils. In certain circumstances these can be provided free of charge.

If you are claiming Income Support, Job Seekers Allowance (Income Based) or Child Tax Credits (where Working Tax Credit is NOT paid) and your annual income is less than £15,575 you will be able to claim free school meals for your child.

Children in families who receive support under part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999 may also be entitled.

An application form is available from all schools, local CAP offices and reception staff in Greenfield and Lime Tree House, or to download from this site, and should be returned to Facilities, Schools and Welfare Team at the address below. When submitting an application, proof of income will be required (please refer to the notes in Section 3 of the application form).

Applications can be submitted at any time during the year. The award of free school meals cannot be back dated beyond the date the application was approved. Registering entitlement to free school meals also entitles your child to free milk at morning break and free breakfast (in participating schools).
