Waste Data
The council records waste collection information for a number of purposes. These include:
- checking to see if we are meeting recycling targets
- determine our efficiency at service delivery
- how our performance compares with that of other councils
To help us collate this data, we submit all our information to Waste Data Flow.
What is Waste Data Flow?
This is a web-based system that brings together all the information that councils collect. It is then accessible for use by government departments, agencies, institutions, and organisations.
All of this information is publicly available.
How can I obtain data?
The public can download the information by registering with www.wastedataflow.org. Select the Data Manager menu on the homepage.
Information from Waste Data Flow is used by each of the UK countries to produces national statistics. In Scotland; Summary Reports are available from the Scottish Environment Protection Agency.
