Health and Safety Performance
The Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 imposes statutory duties on employers and employees regarding the health and safety of employees and others who may be affected by their activities.
Clackmannanshire Council is committed to ensuring, as far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare at work of all employees and others who may be affected by our operations.
The following information demonstrates the Council's commitment to the management of health and safety and to transparency in the current climate of freedom of information.
As a measure of Health and Safety performance, the Council will display the following information at the end of each financial year:
- The number of incidents/accidents involving staff that are reportable to the Health and Safety Executive.
- The number of staff trained in core health and safety topics:
- Health and Safety Induction
- Health and Safety Awareness for Line Managers
- Risk Assessment
- Clinical Waste
- Manual Handling
- Basic Asbestos Awareness
- Accidents and Dangerous Occurrences Investigation
- The number of statutory enforcement actions (prohibition or improvement notices) from the Health and Safety Executive.
