Forth Valley Master Composter Scheme
Thinking of trying composting or do you have a compost bin but it does not appear to be doing anything......or worse.....does it smell a bit?
Help is now at hand. Trained Master Composters are now working in Clackmannanshire, troubleshooting all home composting conundrums. That includes everything from the initial setting up of the bin, right through to how best to use the compost that has been produced.
The Forth Valley Master Composter Scheme is managed by Forth Environment Link who are training up volunteers throughout the Forth Valley to offer fellow citizens in their community, advice and support on composting. Composting is after all a great way to reduce the rubbish in your bin as it successfully converts garden and vegetable waste into a wonderful crumbly compost that is ideal for keeping garden plants healthy.
If you would like advice on how to make great compost or perhaps you would like more information on the Master Composter Scheme then please contact Eve at Forth Environment Link on 01786 449215 or email: biodiversity@forthenvironmentlink.org
Information on subsidised bins are available on our composting page.
