As part of the Imagine Alloa project, Retroglass hosted workshops giving local groups, artists and residents the opportunity to make glass stars and snowflakes with their Christmas wish on a tag, which are on display in town centre shop window displays.

Please see our Stars and Snowflakes press release for more information.

Official opening of our expanded studio - Sunday, 1st February 2009

The Countess of Mar and Kellie officially opened our new studio and two of the world's best glass artists attended the opening - Richard Whiteley, Head of the prestigious Glass Workshop at the School of Art, Australian National University and Heike Brachlow, a graduate of London's Royal College of Art who is presently conducting PhD research into colour in glass. Karen Davies of Bullseye Glass also attended.

Art n' Action

Retroglass and charity organisation, Opening More Doors, presented the Art n' Action event on 26th October 2008 thanks to the support of Clackmannanshire Council. This event attracted many professional artists, some of whom have been commissioned by the Council.

RETROglass hosted the exhibition 'A Celebration of Glass' in the Tommy Downs Room.

There was also the opportunity to attend audiences with international artists, Lys Hansen, Andy Scott and Alex Galloway, all of whom have contributed to Clackmannanshire's public art.
