• AllTheWeb
  Uses index provided by Yahoo! Image, audio, video and news searches available.
• AltaVista Advanced Search
  Allows queries to be built with combinations of words and phrases and use of 'AND', 'OR' and 'NOT'. Results can be filtered by date, domain name and URL.
• Ask.com Search
  Search for news, images, blogs, etc.
• BUBL Link Catalogue of Internet Resources
  Items can be searched alphabetically, by subject, by country, by type of resource (e.g. satellite images, E-Books) or by Dewey class number.
• Clusty
  A search engine which presents results in significant clusters.
• Dogpile
  Combines results from the major search engines on the Web.
• Google Advanced Search
  Search by a combination of words and phrases. Search engine can also be set to search by language, file format or position of a search term in the web page.
• Ixquick Advanced Search
  Allows combination (or exclusion) of words and phrases. Can search for text in title or URL and at particular domain name or type.
• Lycos Advanced Search
  Will search using combinations of words and phrases and can narrow the search to UK pages, certain file formats, particular content (e.g. images, music) or domains.
• Mirago UK Advanced Searching
  Will search by localities within UK, sector or directory.
• SearchEngineColossus
  An international directory of search engines.
• Turbo10
  This engine searches the specialist databases of the Deep Net and can pick up material which will not be found by the engines which index static pages.
• Yahoo! UK Advanced Web Search
  Combines (or excludes) words and phrases. Will search by language, domain, or area of web page and can be set to filter out certain types of material.
