Library Passport Scheme

Clackmannanshire Libraries has teamed up with other public, academic and health libraries in the area to create a new Libraries in Central Scotland (LICS) passport scheme. Library users will now have access to a broader range of information and resources across the Forth Valley area. These may relate to educational courses or readers' particular special interests. Where the reader's home library can't supply what is needed, he or she can now visit other libraries in the region to find the information or resources which they are seeking.

The passport scheme formalises existing arrangements between a number of libraries in Central Scotland and will prove useful to anyone following a course of study or pursuing a special interest. The passport provides access to the following libraries and resources:

The passport is a small plastic card which is issued by the borrower's home library service. Each library service in the scheme will decide its own policy on borrowing rights.

Clackmannanshire Libraries will grant borrowing rights to anyone presenting a Passport and Home Library ticket and access will be given to the Web4U computers.
