Strategic Policy

Head of Strategic Policy
The Strategic Policy division has a broad remit to support the strategic positioning of the Council and to lead and co-ordinate strategic regeneration policy.
Its main aims are to:
- develop and support effective strategic partnerships through the mechanism of community planning
- promote strategic policy cohesion within the Council
- enhance the strategic capacity of the Council
- improve communications and information management within the Council and between the Council and its partners
- support the socio-economic regeneration of Clackmannanshire
The team has four units:
Research & Information
This team has the following broad areas of responsibility:
- Collation and analysis of statistical information across a range of services
- Collation and analysis of demographic and census information
- Research
- Maintaining the research
- Supporting knowledge management and information sharing
Regeneration Services
This team has the following broad areas of responsibility:
- strategic economic development policy and research
- European policy and funding
- funding more generally, including support to voluntary and community groups
- regeneration policy in the context of community planning
- the management of the Regeneration Outcome Agreement and associated staff
- other regeneration initiatives, such as the Tullibody Healthy Living Initiative
Communications & Marketing
This team has the following broad areas of responsibility to provide information, marketing and communications support to the Council:
- communications strategy
- campaign planning
- media coverage/relations
- design
- web development
- print co-ordination
- image management
- crisis management
Policy
Key areas of responsibility for this team are:
- community planning
- community safety
- health improvement
- community engagement (in context of community planning)
- general/corporate local authority issues
- knowledge management
