Who can claim Housing Benefit?

  • local authority tenants
  • people renting privately
    (from Housing Associations, Private Landlords, Registered Social Landlords or living in Bed & Breakfast accommodation)

This group, with the addition of owner-occupiers, may also be able to claim Council Tax Benefit.
