Customer Contact Centre
Our Customer Contact Centre was launched in March 2004, providing you with a single point of contact for accessing Council services over the phone. The new Contact Centre aims to deliver improvements in the way people are dealt with when they telephone the Council. Hopefully, no more engaged tones or being passed from one person to another – simply contact the Contact Centre and one of our customer service advisors will be there to help deal with your enquiry. The Centre is open from 8:30am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Out of hours services
A number of services are available when the Contact Centre is closed;
The Housing Services Helpline 0845 055 7070 is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for Council tenants to report emergency housing repairs.
Other emergency situations requiring Council Services can be reported on 01259 450000, our general
enquiries number, between 5.30 p.m. and 8.30 a.m. on weekdays, and all day on Saturdays, Sundays and Public holidays.
The Social Work Emergency Duty Team is available on 01786 470500 from 4.45 p.m. until 9.00 a.m. on weekdays, and all day on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Hoildays, for social work emergencies only.
