Alloa Community Enterprises (ACE) logoACE are a local charity who provide furniture for homeless people being re-housed by the Council. ACE also provide a wide variety of recycling services to businesses.

In partnership with the Council's Housing Services, ACE provide a free uplift service for removing bulky furniture from householders in Clackmannanshire. Items collected are donated to homeless people who do not have the financial means to purchase furniture when they are allocated accommodation.

ACE also provide this service in areas in and around Stirling, however, there is a small service charge for areas outwith Clackmannanshire.

Items accepted include:

To arrange an uplift please contact ACE by telephone on 01259 215090, by email info@recycleit.org.uk or complete an online enquiry form.

If you have an item which is not listed above please contact ACE - there's every chance the item may be suitable for collection.

A lack of resources to purchase furniture has been a barrier to homeless people accepting a tenancy - this scheme helps to overcome this situation.

Furniture and other items are available to purchase and can be viewed at our showroom.
