The Community Safety Partnership is chaired by Central Scotland Police Alloa Area Commander. Policy and administrative support is provided by Clackmannanshire Council.

The Community Safety Strategy was reviewed in 2005. The collective vision of partners in Clackmannanshire remains that:

'public safety is of paramount concern, and everyone has the right to feel safe within their own community and within their own home'.

The strategy sets out partnership objectives and the key themes against which progress will be monitored. The Community Safety Strategy for 2005-2008 is now available to download from this site.

Community Safety Partnership Award Programme 2005 - 2008

The Scottish Government have asked Community Safety Partnerships to follow a problem-solving approach to identifying, evidencing and planning a three year programme to tackle up to three local community safety problems.

The three year programme must take account of evidence gathered as part of community planning, anti-social behaviour, social inclusion and community regeneration processes. Following consultation, the three local community safety priorities to be tackled in Clackmannanshire during 2005 - 2008, are:

  1. Diverting young people away from criminal and anti-social behaviour and reducing the fear of crime
  2. Supporting victims of crime: Black & Minority Ethnic Project
  3. Improving fire and home safety

Community Safety Partnership Local Action Fund

The Local Action Fund (LAF) has been established since 2004 and is part of a commitment by Scottish Ministers to provide additional support to local action to divert young people away from crime.
