Community Engagement
The partners have set up a mechanism to enable interested individuals and groups to participate in issues which affect them.
The Clackmannanshire Alliance regularly tests public opinion on the local issues through the Clacks 1000, our citizens' panel.

How the community is represented
Local people also have an opportunity to be represented in consideration of the issues which affect them through the community and voluntary organisations which sit on the Clackmannanshire Alliance. You can get involved through one of the representative groups below as relevant:
- Clackmannanshire Third Sector Interface(CTSI)
- Community Councils
- Registered Tenants Organisations (RTOs)

Third Sector Interface
The 'Third Sector Interface' is the term the Scottish Government is now using to refer to the means by which the community and voluntary sector will engage with community planning, and by which developmental support is provided to volunteers and community and voluntary groups, including social enterprises from 2011.
The community and voluntary sectors in Clackmannanshire have set up Clackmannanshire's Third Sector Interface (CTSI).
It has a Board of Directors made up of volunteers from community groups and voluntary organisations and now has a Business Plan and Delivery Framework in place. A range of new services are being created to support the vital work of the Third Sector across Clackmannanshire.
CTSI works as an equal partner with all statutory agencies in representing the interests of the Third Sector in Clackmannanshire.
For more information, please refer to the CTSIwebsite. You can also refer to the Scottish Government's document on CTSI .
